Snow Patrol: Take Back The City Tour

arrived in the mail on the date of the gig itself

outside South Ken tube station

02 arena!

ming, mantej, nick, the happy trio. we turned up early at 630pm to get close to the front!

Fanfarlo, the opening act for snow patrol. the band members were dressed really preppily! love his suspenders, bow and glasses. hahahah

the eagerly anticipated

Snow Patrol diving right into the first song with gusto. (There’s A Rocket, Tie Me To It) really got the crowd going

the backdrop was spectacular, and constantly changed to evoke different moods

as was the lighting

Gary Lightbody, overwhelmed by the reception from the crowd

the whole stadium was full by the time Snow Patrol came on

crowd soaking into the melody of Chasing Cars

engaging the audience with witty banter throughout, and the audience loved him for it

the set consisted of all the crowd favourites, Chasing Cars, Run, Take Back The City, Crack the Shutters, Hands Open, Shut Your Eyes, You’re All I Have, etc.

my favourite song of the night though was Chocolate! performed to perfection as the 2nd piece. really loved the energetic Crack The Shutters and You’re All I Have too.

all in all it was truly a visual spectacle for the senses!

10 quid for a sold-out Snow Patrol front row tickets gig; the 02 stadium was massive but packed to the brim, atmosphere was fantastic, and we were right in front of it all! doesn’t get much better than that!
