The Weird, Creepy World of Medical Simulation Models

February 8, 2010 at 5:19 pm (med, school, randoms)

haha interesting articles this! the types of learning aids they came up with for medical professionals nowadays is just amazing. there’s a Geriatric Patient Manikin, an Unhealthy Foot Simulator, a Bedsores Simulator: and even a CPR Dog Manikin!

although i’d question the necessity for a buttocks injection simulator.

haha it’s EASY! all you need to do is to JAB THE BUTTOCK in the superior lateral quadrant! (to avoid the sciatic nerve)

right. easier said then done. if you ever read the papers about a medical student being sued by a patient as a result of causing foot drop because of a poorly placed buttock injection in the near future….
